Beverly Moore Haydel
As the founder of Sequitur Consulting, Beverly Moore Haydel has more than a decade of experience working in both the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Her expertise lies in policy development, legislative strategy, issue advocacy, stakeholder engagement and coalition building.
Beverly began her career at Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banking Analyst based out of the company’s New York City headquarters. Beverly supported the division’s general counsels and was responsible for working with deal teams and outside attorneys to execute initial public offerings and debt transactions for clients across multiple sectors.
Following law school at Stanford University, Beverly served as a clerk to the Honorable Janice Rogers Brown on the District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals. After completing her clerkship, Beverly practiced law at the Washington, D.C. based firm of Kellogg, Huber Hansen, Todd, Evans & Figel, PLLC, where she primarily represented corporate clients involved in federal court litigation and arbitration.
Beverly’s experience as a litigator and knowledge of the political system led her in 2012 to join the Mitt Romney for President campaign as an Associate General Counsel.
Beverly returned to her home state of Louisiana in 2013 to serve as Special Assistant to Governor Bobby Jindal. Her responsibilities involved developing policy solutions and coordinating implementation of key projects.
Immediately prior to founding Sequitur Consulting, Beverly served as Director of Civic Leadership Initiatives at the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, a 501c3 community foundation with nearly $1 billion in assets. Beverly managed the Foundation’s long-term projects throughout the greater Baton Rouge area.
Beverly graduated with a degree in Economics from Harvard University, where she was also the starting point guard for the Harvard Women’s Basketball Team. She lives in Baton Rouge with her two children and remains active in the philanthropic sector.

Board Activity and Awards
Beverly serves on the boards of numerous non-profits including the Baton Rouge Area Foundation and The Emerge Center. She also serves on the Board of Currency Bank, a regional community bank, and Lincoln Builders, an employee-owned statewide construction firm based in Ruston, LA.
In 2019 Beverly was named as one of Baton Rouge’s Top Forty Under 40 by the Baton Rouge Business Report and in 2022 she received the Business Report’s prestigious Influential Women in Business Award.
